I try not to follow trends. I wear what I like and what I think looks good on me, and this is basically my beauty and fashion rule. But when it comes to nail polish, I admit that I like trying the “it shades” of the season. And now that sandal season has come early this year – literally, a day or two after I posted “Pretty Polish”, warm weather rolled into Chicago – I can show off my new polish shades.

Right now, I am into lavender anything, from blouses to nail polish. I love this bright but soft lavender shade by Essie called Playdate… I think it’s so feminine and chic. I picked it out at the nail salon when I treated myself to a pedicure. Man, I love pedicures! And don’t you think my toes look great with this orange-sherbet sheer dress outfit? I just had to take a photo while waiting for the bus. Coincidently, I looked super trendy that day, because apparently orange is the it color of spring. So purposely trendy on the toes, accidentally trendy on the body, I guess!
